Will was born in Cherokee, Iowa, in 1960. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1982, and Washburn University School of Law in 1987. He is licensed to practice in Iowa, United States District Courts (Northern District of Iowa), Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and Minnesota State Courts. He is a member of the Cherokee County, Iowa State, Minnesota State, and American Bar Associations.
